The Black Sea Mall has officially opened in Batumi

Today, September 29, "MP Development," a subsidiary of "Wissol Group," officially opened the Black Sea Mall shopping center at #22 Abuseridze Street in Batumi.



The "Black Sea Mall" features a Carrefour hypermarket and twenty-two foreign and local brand stores. Among the brands available in the new shopping center are Wendy's, Dunkin', Aray Tomorrow, Parfois, Yves Rocher, Delphos, Pepela, OVS Kids, Penti, and Bata.


The "Black Sea Mall" already employs over 300 locals. At the official opening ceremony, Soso Pkhakadze, President of "Wissol Group," stated: "'Black Sea Mall' is designed to bring joy and happiness to its visitors. It offers everything needed for fun and relaxation with family and friends, including a playground, an entertainment corner, and American restaurants such as Wendy's and Dunkin' Donuts. Batumi certainly needed another large shopping center to enhance the region’s tourism potential and economic development. Seeing people find employment in their own city is the greatest motivation for anyone in business.'"


"MP Development" has already launched three shopping centers in Tbilisi. Carrefour, the main strategic partner for these centers, is also a key partner for Black Sea Mall in Batumi.


"MP Development" plans to expand its collaboration with Carrefour to other cities in Georgia, in addition to Tbilisi and Batumi.


"Wissol Group" invested over 10,000,000 GEL in the creation of Black Sea Mall. This project is one of the most significant in Adjara, contributing to the region’s economic progress and local employment. The mall offers a comfortable and enjoyable space for entertainment, leisure, and both daily and family shopping.


The official opening ceremony of the center was attended by Zurab Pataridze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. He emphasized the significance of Black Sea Mall for the region and mentioned that the Government of Adjara plans to collaborate on several future projects with "Wissol Group."
